PILATES FOR MEN

WE’RE CALLING ALL THE BOYS TO THE CLUB

At the CLUB we pride ourselves on welcoming anyone and everyone who walks through our doors. And that includes you, my dudes.

One of the most common misconceptions about Pilates is that it’s just for women. Reformer and Hot Mat Pilates is for anyone who has an appetite for movement and who wants to feel good. Pilates is for your mum, your dad, your brother, your sister, your boyfriend, your girlfriend, your neighbour’s second cousin. Pilates welcomes you all.

In fact, Pilates was originally developed by a man for men - in particular, to rehabilitate soldiers during and after World War I. The very dude who created the method, Joseph Pilates, also practised martial arts, bodybuilding, gymnastics and boxing. He loved to mix it up.

Like Joseph, we’re all about a bit of variety and balance in our fitness routine. Pilates can be incorporated alongside other types of strength and aerobic training but of course, can be used as a stand alone fitness training method. Do what works for you, boo.
