HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US IN THE REFORMER ROOM AT THE CLUB.

At the CLUB we love curating Reformer sessions that have a mix of both new and familiar moves that hit all areas of the body and will be sure to spike the heart rate at least once or twice.

The versatile and dynamic movements that star in our sessions keep both the mind and the body engaged throughout, making Reformer Pilates a form of exercise that never gets boring and will forever challenge the mind and the muscles.

HOLD ON, BACK IT UP, WHAT IS REFORMER PILATES?

To cut a long story short, it’s a fun, intense and unique workout that uses spring based resistance and body weight to effectively target the entire body to build strength, flexibility and stability.

Nope, you don’t have to be flexible to do Pilates, nor do you have to be coordinated.

Our kickass instructors will offer modifications based on your fitness, comfort and energy levels.

We make it our mission to make you feel welcome, to keep you safe throughout the workout, to show you how to use the Reformer, to guide you through each movement and to offer you modifications to dial it back or progressions to dial it up. Expect a few giggles along the way and don’t be surprised if your trainer knows you by name after your first class.

WHAT DOES ONE WEAR TO A REFORMER CLASS?

  • Wear something comfortable that you can move freely in.

  • Grippy socks are great but we also don’t mind bare feet at the CLUB either. We sell grippy socks at the CLUB for $15.

OUR TOP TIPS FOR YOUR FIRST REFORMER CLASS

  • The moves may feel a little awkward and uncomfortable at times. Please know that this is completely normal. We assure you that after a small handful of sessions you will feel increasingly more comfortable with the various elements of the machine and will gain strength allowing you to feel ‘one’ with the Reformer.

  • Hang on your instructor’s every word. Wait for instructions on using the machine as the Reformer moves in many different ways and has a variety of moving parts so safety is key!

  • The springs hold different levels of resistance. Your instructor will tell you which springs you will need for each move.

  • Feel free to ask questions if you need further clarification.

  • No need to be a hero on your first session, ease into it by starting slow.

Any other thoughts, queries or questions feel free to email hello@clubampm.com.au and we will be sure to get back to you.
